How does ScreenMux create the MXF file?
ScreenMux uses nablet's own MXF muxer to control all aspects of the MXF standard, as well as compatibility and interoperability of the created file. The file is being written in a "left-to-right" manner to allow growing file workflows (edit-while-ingest).
How good is the quality of the MPEG-2 encoding?
ScreenMux uses nablet's own MPEG-2 encoder to control all aspects of quality and performance. The nablet MPEG-2 encoder represents an industry reference solution used by many leading video encoding products.
How does ScreenMux record progressive computer screen content?
Technically, the recording format is interlaced. Visually, the recorded content is progressive. This technique is also known as PsF (Progressive segmented Frame).
How does the recorded screen content fit into 16:9?
The scalable recording mask is fixed to 16:9 for undistorted screen capturing.
How good is image scaling quality?
ScreenMux uses nablet's own image scaler that provides amazing up- and down-scaling quality in real-time.
What are the hardware requirements to run ScreenMux?
ScreenMux performs screen grabbing, audio sampling, image scaling, MPEG-2 encoding and MXF muxing in real-time. In addition there needs to be enough performance headroom for the tasks to capture. Additional cores provide the most significant performance boost, therefore we recommend quad-core CPU configurations or better when capturing video content. Capturing static content like text and images from websites, documents, applications, etc. is less performance demanding.
What are the system requirements to run ScreenMux?
The Mac version runs on OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks or later.
The PC version runs on Windows 7 or later.
